Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Shake

Ingredients for this Protein Shake Recipe:

NO PROTEIN POWDER REQUIRED
1 ½ cups skimmed milk
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
½ cup dry rolled oats
1 whole egg
3 egg whites
cinnamon

This recipe is a useful one to know when you have forgotten to stock up on your protein powder supplement and don't have the necessary ingredients to make your Mass Milk (homemade protein supplement). The shake is high enough in protein thanks to the 1 and a half cups of skimmed milk, half cup of oats and all the eggs.

If you are a little worried about drinking raw eggs, you can easily buy pasteurized eggs in a carton from your supermarket. The eggs have been treated and because they are now in a carton in liquid form, there is less mess.

A little tip; you can blend the oats first so that they are properly mixed in your finished shake. The problem with using oats in your shakes is that if they are no blended enough, you feel more like you are 'eating' instead of 'drinking'. Also, you will end up with bits of oats in the bottom of your glass and your blender.
