Adding oats to your shakes are a great way to turn your shake into a mass-gaining shake. They contain complex carbohydrates to keep your energy levels high. They also contain more protein then other cereals

How to Use Oats in Your Homemade Protein Shakes

You can cook your oats before adding them to your blender if you want – some people do some prefer not to, I don’t think it makes much difference. I think the flavor of shakes using uncooked oats are a little nuttier.

There are different types of oats you can easily find at the supermarket. I have used rolled oats in the recipes below but you can use quick-cooking oats (rolled oats that have been split to save on cooking time) or oatmeal.
