Raisin-Nut Protein Shake (Mass Gain Drink)

Ingredients for this nut recipe:

1 ½ cups skimmed milk
½ cup shredded almonds
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
½ cup of raisins
½ cup dry rolled oats
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

Some Info About this Homemade Mass Gaining Drink:

This protein shake packs a punch. It is a great muscle building shake because it contains a strong amount of protein as well as mass gaining carbohydrates. If you are on a serious bulking diet then take this shake post workout (within half an hour of finishing your workout if you can).

The protein is being supplied not only by the protein supplement powder but also by the larger amount of skimmed milk (the extra milk is needed because of the thickness the almonds, peanut butter and oats create), the shredded almonds, peanut butter and even the oats. Oats are a useful ingredients to have in your muscle building shakes because it help you gain weight from its healthy carb content.

Raisins are not the obvious choice of ingredient for your weight gain shakes but they provide an interesting flavor. BTW, did you know if you put a handful of raisins in a soda (try Sprite) then after a short time they rise up to the surface then dive then rise then dive.....etc. Not sure how that will help you gain more muscle thought :-D
