Add sparkling water to the blender after and slowly blend – you don’t want to lose all the bubbles by blending too much. This is another recipe that uses a sparkling ingredient to give your protein drink a fiz. Although this will not be to everyone's taste it's worth trying just to say you have. The vanilla extract (aka vanilla essence) adds a little extra je ne sais quoi to the flavor - experiment with other flavorings (eg cinnamon, flavored syrups, etc). This recipe is a very adaptable recipe and can be easily changed to become a different 'fruit cooler'. Simply use your favorite fruit-flavored yoghurt (natural and fat free preferably) and add the appropriate fresh fruit as well to get a wonderfully creamy homemade fruit protein drink.
