STRAWBERRIES & CREAM SHAKE

Drink Recipe Ingredient List:

1 ½ cups water
4 tbsp low fat sour cream
8 strawberries
1 scoop vanilla or strawberry whey protein powder

Yes, this recipe does require cream but you should use low-fat cream. It's a very simple protein drink the you can whip up (excuse the pun) in a couple of minutes. If you wanted, you could use skimmed milk instead of the water - obviously, this recipe is not suited to anyone who has a problem with lactose intolerance :-)

Don't forget, you should be using fresh strawberries of course if you are able to get hold of them. If this is not possible, frozen strawberries will have to do but you do sacrifice a significant amount of flavor. You could try adding some sweetener (preferably honey) or possibly a strawberry flavored syrup. You might even try fructose. You can buy this is a syrup form from supermarkets and baking stores. Note, there are mixed views on whether fructose is indeed as natural as originally believed so I suggest doing a little research on this and then deciding for yourself.
