Ingredient Details for this Shake:

1 cup skimmed milk
½ cup pineapple juice
canned pineapple chunks to taste
1 scoop vanilla protein powder

More About this Particular Homemade Protein Drink:

This recipe is extremely simple and another example of an easy drink you can put together in a minute when you are in a rush. Although the recipe says use canned pineapple chunks, you can of course use fresh pineapple if you can get hold of it. Fresh pineapple will provide your shake with more vitamins and nutrients. Fresh pineapple is also likely to be more juicy.

If you are lactose intolerant then you could try this shake without the skimmed milk. Instead of the milk you can use an extra half cup to one whole cup (on top of the existing half cup) of pineapple juice. It is also worth adding another scoop of whey protein powder to make up for the reduced protein in your shake now that there is no skimmed milk.
