EASY BERRIES

This is a slush-type drink recipe

Ingredients for the Drink:

some water (to help combine the ingredients)
1 cup berries – mixture of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.
honey to taste
2 scoops vanilla protein powder (or 1 vanilla, 1 strawberry)
1 cup ice cubes (or more – remember this is supposed to turn out slushy)

Now, this is not a conventional type of protein shake. You already know what a slush drink is like no doubt but have you ever tried a protein slush drink? Well, I wasn't thrilled by the idea when I found a similar recipe on the internet. I tried it and I have to say I was expecting it to be worse then it was. It's not a recipe that I use but I thought some people might like to try it.

The mixed berries are great as long as you are using enough honey (or other sweetener). The good thing about this recipe is that if you are lactose intolerant then this drink should not be a problem for you as there are no dairy ingredients. Obviously, the more ice you add, the slushier the drink is. This recipe is also fat-free so perfect for people on strict protein diets as well.

You might also want to try adding a scoop of your favorite fat-free ice cream.
