CHOCOLATE ORANGE SMOOTHIE

Shake Recipe Ingredients

1 cup skimmed milk
tbsp concentrated orange juice
1 fresh orange (peeled of course)
honey or chocolate syrup to sweeten if required
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
ice cubes

Ever since I was a kid, one of my favorite chocolate treats was Terry's Chocolate Orange. Not sure if you can get them outside the UK but this is basically a life sized orange made from solid chocolate. It is made in segments all connected to make the orange shape. I always thought a milkshake version would be really tasty.

In a protein drink, a chocolate and orange combination is maybe not so familiar, maybe even a little weird. The key is to find fresh oranges that are sweet and also an orange concentrate that you really like. You might like to try canned mandarin instead of the fresh orange. The fresh orange will of course give you a great deal more vitamin C and also more juice so it won't be too thick. Depending on your preferences you may prefer canned mandarin oranges for a thicker smoothie.
