Ingredients for this Shake:

1 cup skimmed milk
15-20 blueberries (preferably fresh blueberries if possible although frozen will do)
½ cup dry rolled oats
1 tbsp honey
2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder

A simple homemade bodybuilding snack which is a great start to your day. Again, as with all the fruit shake recipes, try to use fresh fruit whenever possible. Fresh fruit contain more vitamins and nutrients and always taste sweeter. Frozen fruit, once thawed out, has lost the flavor it had when it was still fresh. If you go with frozen blueberries for this protein drink then you will need to add a little more honey (or whatever other sweetner you wish to use) then with fresh blueberries.

The fresh fruit and oats will provide you with the healthy carbohydrates to supply your body with the energy you need to start your day or your workout. The oats also contain protein making this particular drink rather high in protein. If you feel like it, you could throw in an egg which will also increase the protein for this drink.
