Ingredients for this Shake

2 cups skimmed milk
1 cup plain yoghurt
10 almonds
1 whole egg
1 banana
handful of berries (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries or whatever is in season)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder

This shake has quite a lot of protein in it provided by the skimmed milk, yoghurt, almonds, whole egg (Tip: do not throw away the egg yolk as it is packed with protein and other nutrients - if you are really worried about cholesterol then just use the white) and of course the whey protein powder.

Almonds are probably the best nuts to use in your shake recipes as they have one of the highest protein contents of all the nuts. They also provide a number of other health benefits because they are rich in various vitamins and minerals great for your heart.
