1 cup fresh apple juice
1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
1 banana
2-3 tbsp chocolate syrup
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
ice cubes

This protein drink uses apple juice as the liquid base to replace milk. If you are lactose intolerant then this could be a good choice to try for your next bodybuilding shake. Of course, without milk the flavor of this drink is rather different and if you like to have milk in your shakes why not try using half a cup of apple juice and half a cup of skimmed milk. The other idea you can try is using the usual cup of skimmed milk and adding apple concentrate if you can find it (tip: try health food stores).

With all the fruit in this shake, you should be bursting with energy. If you go with the canned variety of pineapple, you can also add some of the juice from the can (but watch out if you bought pineapple in syrup).
