BANANA & BERRY VANILLA

Recipe Ingredients:

1 ½ cups skimmed milk
1 cup berries – mixture of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.
1 sliced banana
½ cup dry rolled oats
honey to taste
1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Comments on this Homemade Shake

The combination of banana and dry oats makes this a pretty thick shake. The use of oats also means this is a great mass-gaining shake that is also packed with energy (the oats, banana, and berries are all good energy sources). You might also want to try this shake without the oats for a 'skinnier' protein drink.

Rebecca W: "I love this one but I would mention that frozen berries don't compare to fresh berries - a shame it is hard to get them all year round. BTW, if you use frozen berries, you might want to add a bit more sweetener. Also, I like to leave out the oats as it is a little heavy for me otherwise."
